G’DAY WORLD #235 - City Saint: a new approach to charity
Tony Geagea is the CEO of City Saint, a new online shop in Australia with a twist - 2.5% of all revenue will go to a list of 9 charities they are supporting and you, the shopper, get to pick which one you want your dollars to go to.
What excites me the most about City Saint is that it’s an example of a new generation of businesses which has corporate social responsibility configured into their DNA - it isn’t some kind of cynical add-on in a lame attempt to buy some cheap positive press. It’s hard wired into the very existence of the business. This has been a theme of many of my private conversations with people over the last few months, that there is a new generation of businesses and business leaders who take social responsibility seriously.
City Saint is a prime example.
