Blogging for Fairfax!!
Okay well… let the ribbing begin.
Starting today, a group of Aussie start-up entrepreneurs will be writing a collaborative blog for TheAge.com.au.
The blog is called “Start Up Stories” and it’s the brainchild of James Farmer.
Start up stories is contributed to by Marty Wells of Tangler, Nik Cubrilovic of Omnidrive, Peter Styles of RedBubble, Ben Barren of Feedcorp … and Cameron Reilly of The Podcast Network.
It’s a bold idea. Fairfax get free content and we get to expose what we’re doing to Fairfax’s audience. We’ve already been told that we can’t link to our sites from inside the posts which is a strange request. Blogging… without linking.
Anyway, it’s a bold experiment and I tip me hat to James for his vision and to the bigwigs at Fairfax for giving it the nod. Make sure you check it out. My first post will be up next week.

Well. I have noticed that these ‘corporate-type’ ‘blog’ sites tend to not ‘out-link’ to anyone much, so I wouldn’t take that bit too personally. Though I wonder what’s behind their thinking there…it feels like some pretty old-school rationalisations.
Trust James to be behind pushing these guys to try anything remotely progressive - they need folk like him and more of them.
Sik em Cam!

Ah, but that means you can link to me though… doesn’t it?

Hey - well done! Hopefully Australian startups will benefit from the exposure.
