G’DAY WORLD #248 - The Infidel Guy

Reggie Finley Sr is “The Infidel Guy“. Since 1998 he has been hosting his own radio show/podcast about atheist thinking. We catch up to talk about podcasting business models, Atlanta, atheism, rational thinking, hip-hop, WMD, etc. If you want to add another great atheist podcast to your list, make sure you check out The Infidel Guy.

By the way, on his site today I found this image which I love.

    hey cam,
another great show, i have been to the IG’s site a few times and have found it to be knowledgeable and honest. Listening to you podcast over the last year and by reading as much as i can i am starting to become really comfortable with debating with my religeous friends.
Learning to stay calm and sticking to facts has held me in good stead and i have to thankyou for getting me out of my “letting it be” attitude and starting to confront the topic of religion and god with my christian/muslim friends.
To be honest they seem to respect me more for having an opinion rather than being a fence sitter.
Apart from being banned from my muslim friends house - he’s dad actually called me an infidel, haha!
Keep up the great work cam

Hey Rob, thanks for the feedback mate! Great to know these shows are helping someone. The feedback on them isn’t as copious as I’d think (positive or negative), so I’m pleased at least one person is listening!

  3. Chris Says:

Hey Cam, re: “trust me there are no believers listening”. I’m still listening and enjoying. The “what would it take for you to give up your belief?” Is a great question too. Will be thinking about that over the next few days. Keep up the good work. Also, if it is just me and Rob listening does that mean 50% of your audience are belivers? ;)

  4. Cameron Reilly Says:

heh yeah Chris, that could be the case! I actually think you are the only believer left mate. Maybe you should come on the show and answer the question?

  5. Chris Says:

Mmm maybe… Will think about it. I’m the sort of person who likes to wrestle with ideas for a while so you might end up asking me a great question or stumping me with a something I hadn’t thought of to which I’ll just say I’ll go away and think about that for a while or I’ll go away and research that for 6 months and get back to you… Which might not make for particularly interesting listening. None the less be happy to explain why as a christian I think your questions are important and why name other christians calling you names is completely un christian like thing to do.

  6. rob (perth) Says:

may be a little late with my response but chris please, dont ever call me a beleiver. i havent been a christian since i was about twelve when i was branded a troublemaker for asking too many questions.

thats what drives me insane is that my christian/muslim friends are very intelligent but they still believe in myths. i love em all the same though. i think you would only get stumped because the facts and religion dont mix mate.

  7. Chris Says:

Hey Rob, you may have missunderstood what I originally meant. I meant to imply that if it is just you and I listening (2 people) and if I am a believer (not that I like that term anyway) and you are not then that would make 50% of the audience believers. :)

  8. rob (perth) Says:

sorry chris, i did misunderstand my apologies.

Hey Cam here’s my answer to your “what would it take for you to give up your belief?” question…

    Sorry it’s taken a while.
